INFORMATION ASSURANCE
INFORMATION ASSURANCE AWARENESS
Protecting Information
Mandatory training for civil servants
All civil servants with access to protected personal data must be trained in information risk awareness. This can be done through an e-learning programme that is free for everyone working in UK government. It will help you think about situations commonly faced and to take responsibility for using information safely.
Learning is split into two levels:
– Level 1: for all staff
– Level 2: for staff with a specific responsibility for handling information
For those who have already completed Level 1, a separate assessment with feedback will be available in Spring 2010.
A version of Level 1 aimed at suppliers is also available to private sector organisations for a nominal fee.
