People involved in making and implementing public policy need a variety of skills to achieve the desired policy outcomes within a complex environment. Developing Deliverable Policy
For those engaged in policy work. It will suit those on the Fast Stream and other development programmes; experienced staff who have recently moved in to a ‘pure’ policy role; experienced policy professionals grappling with complex policy issues; and experienced managers in the wider public sector who need a more solid understanding of how policy is designed and delivered.
An in-depth programme, strong on theory, that provides an overview of the policy process. Policy models together with initiatives and practical tools and techniques are all covered. This programme features expert guest speakers with exceptional experience and encourages discussion and learning through practice.

For those new to a policy-making role; those who contribute to policy and policy makers looking for useful tools and techniques.
This programme is hands-on and highly practical using a workshop style to provide an overview of the policy process and key issues. Much of the learning comes from using examples from students’ own policies and it is especially helpful if you want practical advice and an opportunity to test policy-making techniques.

Stakeholder Engagement in Action: Engagement for effective public policy making
Design and Delivery
You want to include an element of public engagement in a piece of work you are doing and you want to explore how. You want to be clear how it fits into a policy cycle.
You want to gain some perspective on what seems like an endless choice of methods. You want to know how effective internet based engagement is, and not just be swept along by hype.
