Managing Contracts: Commercial Awareness

Service-Level Agreements
For those managing some part of an inter-organisational relationship in which services are the currency; those negotiating, drafting, implementing and maintaining Service-Level Agreements (SLAs); and those who want to see how SLAs can be used to improve a service. Themes covered include drafting an SLA, exploring issues, identifying measures for individual services, monitoring performance, and negotiating and reviewing SLAs.

Themes covered include roles and the management framework within which they operate; the principles and practice of the financial relationships and NDPB/agency operations; performance measurement; the latest policy; the perspectives and working relationships of the staff in different types of organisation; and the management of the interface between them.
