COMMISSIONING

Strategic Commissioning

More than just procurement, strategic commissioning is as much a philosophy as a set of practices. It requires an understanding of how the different parts of a system work together, a keen eye for value rather than the cheapest option, a willingness to listen to other people, especially the recipients of the service and any partners involved in delivery, an openness to innovation, a grounding in what makes contracts work, not just the rules, and a clear focus on public service delivery. It is a complex but worthy challenge, and one where we are keen to support you.

TACKLING PUBLIC SERVICE AGREEMENTS

Embedding the PSA Agenda: an Action Learning Programme for Leaders

Designed for leaders working in front-line right up to the most senior leadership positions.

This programme consists of six Action Learning Set meetings which will take place every six to eight weeks. This programme therefore supports you over an 8-12 month period and is designed to help you focus on the challenges you and your organisation faces in embedding the Public Service Agreements (PSA) agenda. A highly practical programme, you will bring real live PSA issues to the Set meetings and receive support and challenge from others to help plans take shape. Learning inputs are included and will be identified to meet the collective needs of the Set.
