Government IT Professionals
With an estimated 50,000 IT professionals across central and local government, the IT Profession is the largest profession in government.
The aim of the Government IT Profession is to increase the capacity and capability of government to deliver IT-enabled change successfully by developing the knowledge, skill and experience of IT professionals in the Public Sector.
As part of meeting this aim, the Government IT Academy has been established. It provides public sector IT professionals with skills development through learning and experience and now offers a programme of high quality learning and development specifically designed for public sector IT Professionals.

HR ACADEMY
The National School and Civil Service Human Resources (HR) (Cabinet Office) are working in partnership to build the Civil Service HR Academy.
The HR Academy has been commissioned by the HR Leaders Council who are actively involved in its development. It will underpin their aspiration to build a highly professional HR Community capable of delivering excellent service delivery.
The HR Academy will: set professional standards; provide a career roadmap; share knowledge and learning; and create development opportunities across HR but particularly focusing on current and future HR leaders.
Work on the scope and content of the Academy is ongoing. FUTURE HR LEADERS
Preparing for HR Leadership Programme
Designed to prepare talented senior HR professionals for entry into HR leadership roles and help them acquire the experience and skills they will need in their first HR deputy director role. Participants are selected by their department and sponsored on the 10-month programme.

HR Leadership
Network Seminars
Aimed at members of the HR Leadership network, these lunchtime seminars facilitate the sharing of knowledge and ideas on important HR topics. They are delivered by thought leaders or leading practitioners both external and internal to the Civil Service. Attendance is by invitation from the HR Professionalism Team in the Cabinet Office.
