Personal Effectiveness
For those on the Civil Service Fast Stream and other similar career development programmes. This programme will help you assess your personal strengths and working styles and then combine them for maximum impact. This is a challenging programme that acknowledges the realities of working in today’s public sector with different groups, tough deadlines and confusing and often contradictory demands.
The programme is very participative in approach. It combines tutor input, self-assessment exercises, group discussions and practical exercises to develop a rounded understanding of personal working styles. You will gain an awareness of how best to mobilise your personal resources and maintain clarity of purpose in the face of conflicting organisational demands. To get the full benefit from this event, you should be prepared to talk openly about yourself and your hopes, fears and ambitions. You’ll also be expected to give and receive feedback. This programme will give you an insight into how you impact on others and how they impact on you.
