Bedford, NH — Powerbox has intro- duced four new power supplies designed to power Industry 4.0 sys- tems and applications. As part of the company’s product line for industrial use, the supplies are based on the lat- est power switching technology, including LLC, synchronous rectifica- tion, active PFC, low leakage current, and energy optimization. The OBM33, OBM35, OBP37, and OBP38 deliver single output voltages from 12 to 48V, and power of 80 to 400W. The products have been devel-


oped for high performance, low power dissipation and long lifetimes. The OBM33, OBM35, OBP37 and OBP38 have an LLC half bridge topology, complemented by synchronous rectifi-


cation and low standby power con- sumption. These technologies con- tribute to characteristics such as high efficiency (up to 93 percent) high ener- gy density, high peak output current, but also very low power consumption


at no load — below 0.5W — and below 1W when using the units’ power fail detect signal. Combining efficient design with


an optimized layout for EMI per- formance, the new supplies surpass


EN55022B radiated and conducted Class B requirements. The units are built to sustain industrial environ- ments including surges of ±1 kV dif- ferential, 2 kV common, have mag- netic field immunity of 1 A/m, con- ducted immunity 3 Vrms, and with- stand fast transient/burst of 1 kV; and electrostatic discharges of ±8 kV air and 4 kV contact. The new series can handle 3,000


Industrial-strength power supplies.


VAC (4,000 VAC for the OBM33) input to output, 1,500 VAC input to ground and 500 VAC output to ground. Designed to provide designers with safety margins at 264 VAC and 63 Hz, the supplies have a maximum leakage current of below 275 µA. The power supplies can be oper-


ated in temperatures of –10 to +70°C (–14 to 158°F). Up to 75 percent of the maximum power is available without extra cooling. Additional forced air cooling will allow 100 percent power up to 50°C (122°F). The supplies include short circuit, over-voltage and over-temperature protection.
