Ottawa, Ontario, Canada — FRAMOS is now offering ON Semiconductor’s popular family of Python sensors. The family of 1.3 and 5 MP sensors now also come in reduced frame rate and data port versions, allow- ing customers to save up to 55 percent off the cost of the full frame rate models. The Python family of sen-
sors is particularly suited for machine vision applications, intelligent traffic systems, and inspection applications that require high image qual- ity and a high-speed CMOS global shutter. The new Python 1300
and 5000 “P3” versions still achieve 105 and 46 fps with the same image quality, and are use- ful for applications that require fast imaging without high-speed data transfer. The P3 versions have four data ports instead of eight, and two LVDS ports instead of four. Camera manufacturers can eas-
ily adapt the P3 versions to afford- able camera models and retain high
