Oyster Bay, NY — Mill-Max has introduced a new spring-loaded pin with a maximum stroke of 3 mm (0.12 in.) and an initial height of 9.63 mm (0.38 in.). It has been designed for SMT termination and can be used at a minimum spacing of 2.5 mm (0.1 in.). The 0919 spring pin has a recommended
working travel range of 0.8 to 2.5 mm (0.03 to 0.1 in.) and a maximum mechanical travel of 3 mm (0.12 in.), which is the greatest in the company’s current spring pin lineup. The pin incorporates a hard stop to prevent over-compression and to min- imize the risk of damage to the spring. The pin is useful for applications where greater compliancy is required. It can compensate for problematic toler- ance stack-ups in assemblies that have board-to- board or device-to-board connections. The 0919 allows a greater range
