Page 75 Rutronik: Four Areas of Component Expertise

Cleveland, OH — Rutronik is now offering a variety of products for four major areas in the electronics indus- try: automotive, embedded, power, and smart components. Rutronik automotive is focused on

specific components for the automo- tive industry, and also offers the opportunity to connect customers with technical and commercial support per- sonnel. The embedded segment includes components for a range of applications including displays, mem- ory, boards, and peripherals for indus- trial IoT applications, as well as wire-

CUI Intros Rugged DC-DC

Converters

Tualatin, OR — CUI has added to its lineup of isolated DC-DC converters with the introduction of three new models ranging from 10 to 30W. The PDQ10D, PDQ15D and

PDQ30D have outputs of 10, 15 and 30W respectively, and are housed in industry-standard 1 x 1 in. (25.4 x 25.4 mm) packages, which make them good replacements for larger 1 x 2 in. (25.4 x 50.8 mm) modules. The PDQ models also have a 4:1

input voltage range of 9-36 or 18-75 VDC with typical efficiencies of around 90 percent. Encapsulated in a compact, low-

profile DIP package with a five-sided, shielded metal case, the rugged mod- ules come available with single regu- lated output voltages of 3.3, 5, 12, and 15 VDC, or dual-regulated output voltages of ±5, ±12 and ±15 VDC. The new models have an operating tem- perature range of –40 to +105°C (–40 to +221°F), which makes them suit- able for convection-cooled equipment and harsh environments. The con- verters are designed for applications in the telecom, industrial, remote sen- sor, and portable electronics markets. All PDQD models offer an

input-to-output isolation of 1,500 VDC and include remote on/off con- trol while the single output models

less interfaces for robust systems. For power applications, Rutron -

ik offers scalable solutions for power conversion and switching, and for

connecting resistive, capacitive or inductive loads. The company has also collabo- rated with the Hochschule Zwickau

University of Applied Sciences to develop a power management system for power tools that extends the life of their lithium ion batteries. The company’s smart compo-

nents section focuses on sensor bun- dles, signal processing, wireless tech- nology, security, and power manage- ment products for IoT applications in the fields of healthcare and lifestyle, smart home, smart energy, and

industrial connectivity. Contact: Rutronik, Inc., 3

Vacuum Tweezer Solutions

For nearly thirty years we have been a leading supplier of vacuum handling solutions to the world’s high technology fi rms. Our patented ESD safe products are used by CLASS I clean room personnel, electronic assemblers, semiconductor manufacturers, the optics industry and universities around the world. Our success comes from developing innovative manual vacuum handling tools and pick-up tips based on customer requests and customer feedback. These tools provide customer specifi c solutions that make assembly and processing operations more productive and ergonomic. Parts range in size from 0.13mm (0.005”) up to 300mm (12.0”) for easy handling.

• Self-contained vacuum tweezers

• Portable, battery-operated continuous vacuum handling systems

• Bench top 110/220 volt vacuum tweezer systems

• Low cost options

These hand tools replace tweezers and other gripping means for many applications, making them ideally suited for ergonomic manipulation of parts during assembly, inspection, rework and service operations.
