Fujipoly Offers Low-Force Sponge Connectors
Carteret, NJ — Fujipoly® Zebra® self- supporting sponge connectors are designed to provide engineers with a low-force option for connecting LCDs to circuit boards. The sponge connec- tors dramatically reduce PCB bowing due to the minimal force required to make con- tact. The connectors are also a good choice for high-vibration environments and handheld devices.
Each connector is made
with an economical, electrical- ly conductive core that is sup- ported by a low compression force silicone sponge on either one or two sides. The soft sup- ports create a large base width and eliminate the need to install a sepa- rate holder. The connectors are avail- able in a broad range of widths to accommodate LCDs with a minimum glass lip overhang of 0.060 in. (1.5 mm). The carbon-based Zebra con-
