Teledyne DALSA Intros Advanced CMOS TDI Cameras

Waterloo, Ontario, Canada — Teledyne DALSA has added multi-line CMOS TDI cameras to its Pi- ranha™ XL family. The new models are optimized to provide high performance and high-speed color imaging. The cameras contain multi-line color CMOS

TDI (time delay and integration) technology, and are designed to deliver speed and responsiveness with low noise in a compact design. Employing the company’s most advanced CMOS sensor architec- ture, the new 8k and 16k models deliver high sen- sitivity for color imaging using 4 rows per RGB channel for 12 total rows. Data throughput is be- yond 3 GB/s on a single CX4 cable. When com- bined with the company’s Xtium™ CLHS frame grabber, system design- ers can expect reduced inspection and manufacturing costs and the re- liable transfer of information at ex- treme speeds. The Piranha family of cameras

are designed for the most demand- ing imaging applications, including flat panel display and PCB inspec- tion. The field-proven, industry- standard CLHS interface and built-

Fastron Expands Product Line Into New Markets

Feldkirchen-Westerham, Germany — Fastron has increased its product line with the new XHBHV series, a high-voltage leaded axial inductor for the industrial, lighting, and auto- motive industries. The XHBHV se- ries contains a ferrite core and offers inductance values from 100 to 6,800 µH, ±5 percent tolerance, maximum DCR from 0.22 to 14.16 W, current ratings from 0.22 to 1.76A, and is ap- proved for up to 400V. The company has been a global manufacturer of high quality induc-

in trigger-to-image reliability (T2IR) framework safeguard every bit in the camera’s throughput. While CLHS inherently provides data packet re- send and immunity from single bit errors, the company’s T2IR provides monitoring, diagnostics, track and trace, and buffers to prevent data loss. Several cable vendors now offer CLHS copper or active optical cables for proven long distance, full bandwidth data transfer for Piranha XL cameras

and Xtium frame grabbers. Contact: Teledyne DALSA, Inc., 605 McMur-
