‘What to do if…’ – information about support for you and your child if you have concerns about mental health. ‘Hot Topic’ – this edition we have included some information about exam stress.


Further to this information, should you have any concerns regarding your children or feel like you require assistance please contact the school as we are currently running Triple P parent support groups, run by Wiltshire Council. These free sessions are excellent for supporting parents through any situation.

Exam Stress The exam season is upon us! This time of year can be particularly stressful for students and parents. It’s


important to remember that a change of behavior during this time is perfectly normal and to be expected. Encouragement and support is the best way to reduce exam stress.


There is an guide to coping with exam stress available at Matravers reception, here are some top tips: • Set realistic goals. Celebrate achieving these with small rewards. • Have a positive mind set. You might not understand everything YET!


• Eat, sleep, revise, repeat. Have a set routine, but make sure exercise and social time is included.


• Healthy body = healthy mind. A balanced diet and a lot of water is perfect. Avoid too much caffeine or any “energy drinks.”


• Have set working space away from distractions, this should be a desk or table.
