YEAR 10
TUTEE OF THE WEEK/ PUPIL OF THE WEEK
Since September students have been nominated each week by their tutor for ‘Tutee of the week’. Tutors nominate a pupil for demonstrating one the schools’ core values; resilience, happiness, ambition, dynamism, creativity, success. They are rewarded in assembly with a certificate and they will be entered into a prize draw for rewards assembly.
I have also been rewarding a pupil each week who I feel has gone above and beyond, linking into one of the values.
Congratulations to the following students who has been nominated since January:

ACHIEVEMENT POINTS Students are keeping a close eye on their achievement points in tutor time and during assembly to see if they will be invited on the next reward trips. Currently 10.1 are just in the lead with 10.3 not far behind! It’s great to be able to share with students each week their achievement points and highlight the core values that we are succeeding in. As a year group we are consistently rewarded for success and creativity.
We have really tried to push and focus on our resilience and happiness and I am really pleased to see an increase in these values this term.
My main areas of concern are for: Homework, lateness, no PE kit, not having the correct equipment. All of these areas are easily resolved if students are being organised and using their planners effectively. Please check in your child’s planner for communication from their tutor regarding any of these issues. If you have any concerns please do let us know.
ATTENDANCE Students are reminded by me and their tutors about how crucial their attendance is. School days missed will lead to gaps in their knowledge which will eventually affect their progress.
INCIDENT REPORTS
I think it is important for students to be aware of incident reports that are being recorded not only for themselves but also their tutor group and as a year group. These are shown and analysed in assembly. An example of this can be seen below for the end of term 3; with the amount for each week displayed for each tutor group.
