YEAR 8 CHARITY WEEK During the course of the school year each Year group are tasked to raise money for good causes. The week beginning 27th February was Year 8s charity week. I challenged each tutor group to raise as much money as possible through activities of their choice. After much deliberation, discussion and planning the following events took place. 8.1 organised a pay to enter game of Hide and Seek and sold Cancer research wrist bands, 8.2 and 8.4 ran stalls in the library at lunch challenging others to guess how many sweets in the jar and to name the tune, 8.3 went traditional and settled for (very successfully) relieving anyone they could get to of their loose change, 8.5 organised a paid vote to decide what colour they would spray Mr Freethy’s hair (and ears, and shirt!) each day and 8.6 ran a very lucrative and tasty pancake stall.
