Year 7 (continued)

of Oliver. I was lucky enough to witness the performances of all involved with the production. Staff and students alike put a monumental effort in in producing a truly awesome spectacle. Well done to those involved as well as the Year 7’s who embraced the ethos in various roles throughout the production and to Callum Sinden who portrayed Oliver himself in a dignified and mature performance.

Ongoing tutor competitions have again been continuing throughout the terms. Each tutor group has been awarded various points for numerous activities, behaviour points and contributions towards their tutor group culminating in weekly competitions with winners announced in assembly. Each week is noted and contributes to a termly

winner. So far 7.1 and 7.5 are leading the way so far with two wins each. Both have been awarded with film and pizza afternoons and 7.5’s second prize yet to be decided upon by the tutor group.

Once such competition that was run was the Bench ball and Dodgeball inter tutor competition, the ladies playing Bench ball and the gentlemen playing Dodgeball. Each tutor group played the other tutor groups within the year. Both competitions were hotly contested however played within the appropriate spirit.

Some impressive individual performances culminated in 7.3 Winning the Dodgeball competition and 7.2 Winning the Bench Ball competition. More inter tutor competitions are on the way and may include Spelling Bee’s and Bake off’s.

The following list of individuals undertook various roles in the West Wiltshire Dance Festival. Not only where they superb in the performances the produced but also the way they conducted themselves outside of school. Compliments from members of the public on their aptitude and attitude where extremely pleasing to here. Well done to those listed below.

Sam Pym, Jack Gilroy, Camron Williams, Mollie West, Alicia Renton, Ewa Grajewska, Caitlin Butt, Neve Pyatt, Tracey Yao, Faith Leitch, Emily Webb, Megan Paterson, Carla Spencer, Lottie Edmondson, Lainey Osbourne

The students still surprise me and continue to come up and devise new ways in problem solving and producing some outstanding work. An example of this is a colour wheel produced in Art by Jessica Mitchell-Collett, who decided to amalgamate Art and Cooking together to create these fantastic colour wheel cakes.
