Haus 3: This part of the hospital is the Frauen - und Kinderklinik which is about a kilometer from the main hospital on the other side of the inner ring. It specializes in:


Obstetrics Gynaecology ENT (Ears, Nose,Throat) Sleep Lab


Brüderkrankenhaus St Josef: This hospital is situated close to Haus 3, within the inner ring. British patients are seen in its department of Urology


Oral Surgery: This service is provided by two local practices, while in-patient care is carried out in Haus 2.


Directions For elective appointments, as out-patient or in-patient, directions to the various sites will be provided at the medical or dental centres at the time of making the appointment.


If an appointment needs to be changed, this can be done by calling the hospital administration on 05251 86 1021 or 1024.

The Hospital Liaison Officers The role of the Hospital Liaison Officer (HLO) is to facilitate your stay in the hospital. The HLOs are based at most hospital sites and are available during normal working hours from Monday to Friday - please see telephone numbers listed below. They are also available out of hours in cases of emergency to overcome any language difficulties or to assist you with any problems or concerns you may encounter. In this instance they will be called by the German hospital staff or at your request.


A New Mums tour is offered every 1st Thursday of the month (1730-1900 hrs) and the Paediatric department can be visited every 1st Tuesday of the month (1400-1500 hrs). Please call 05251 86 1012 to reserve a place.

Patient Hotline. The Patient Support Services Hospital Hotline was set up to provide first-line Support to people admitted or attending A&E in Non-DGP hospitals. The number to call is 0800 588 99 36 (Calls made from a mobile phone may be charged). This line is manned 24 hours a day, 365 days a year by an On-Call Hospital Liaison Officer (HLO). HLOs a re fluent in German and English and can assist with language problems. Moreover, acting on the patient's behalf, the HLOs will facilitate the liaison between the hospital, the Medical centre, the unit and the Welfare agency (where appropriate).
