If you arrive in BFG and would like to buy a second hand vehicle from another entitled person or if you are staying within BFG and wish to sell or give the vehicle to another entitled person the following procedure should be followed.


Step one: The buyer completes a Bill of Sale in duplicate Step two: The vendor hands over to the buyer:


(Please ensure that the BFG Form 73 is signed by the registered keeper) 1. BFG Number Plates (still on the vehicle) 2. Photocopy of BFG Form 73 (ensure that the Signature on the Fuel Card and on the Bill of Sale match) 3. BFG Road Tax Disc (RHD vehicle) 4. Bill of Sale (retain a copy for your records)


Step three:The vendor must then de-register the vehicle using a BFG Form 4003 returning the original BFG Form 73 with a copy of the Bill of Sale to the Garrison Centralised BFG Licensing Office. Ideally, this should be done in advance of the new owner submitting their documents on transfer.


Step four: The buyer registers the vehicle through Garrison Centralised BFG Licensing Office by submitting:


1. BFG Form 20 2. Bill of Sale


3. Photocopy of BFG Form 73 (Fuel Card) 4 .BFG Road Tax Disc (RHD only) 5. Insurance 6. Roadworthiness Test Certificate (BFG Form 65) if applicable 7. ID card and Passport (Dependants UKBC’s & Civil Servants) 8. Full driving licence (photo card and counter part) 9. BFG Driving Permit 57


Please note: the buyer must register the vehicle within 14 days of acquiring the vehicle.


Please ensure that the BFG Form 73 (Fuel Card) is signed by the registered keeper and matches the signature on the Bill of Sale.


BFG FORMS “WHICH FORMS FOR WHAT”?


BFG Form 20 (Application for BFG vehicle registration) BFG Form 20 is required for initials, renewals and transfer registrations. You can collect the application forms are available from the Garrison Centralised BFG Licensing Office Normandy BKS, or complete them online at www.bfgnet.de . The BFG Form 20 must be supported with the relevant documents i.e. driving licence (Photo Card and Counter part), BFG Driving Permit, ID card, and Passport for non- military personnel. For renewal of registration you should receive a renewal reminder (BFG Form 20a) from the BFG VLO Main Office.


BFG Form 60/ 80 (Special Import Certificate) The BFG Form 60 is your application to import items into Germany; this can be anything from a vehicle to a household item.


In order to receive a BFG Form 80 you must apply with a BFG Form 60 which is obtainable from the Garrison Centralised BFG Licensing Office, Normandy BKS or online at www.bfgnet.de


The BFG Form 60 is to be completed by the registered owner of the vehicle. The Form 60 must be stamped and signed by a Commissioned Officer of your unit. It is then to
