P ADERBORN , SENNELA GER & DETMOLD 2012
What do I need to take with me on my first visit to the One Stop Bank? You will need your completed Registration Form and your ID card.
On subsequent visits you will only need your ID card and bank or debit/credit card.
Why do I need a bank or credit card? Petrol coupon outlet staff will take an imprint of the card or a note of the details – when the bill is finally received from the shop the money will be debited from this account.
Where can I shop? You can only shop at those companies and shops who have signed up for the new scheme – you will be given a list when you visit the Petrol outlets.
What do I need to take with me to the shop?
Before you go shopping you need to apply for an Auftrag (authority to purchase) from the petrol coupon outlets which you then present at the point of sale together with your ID card.
Can I go to more than one shop? Yes – provided the shop is on the list you can ask for up to three Auftrags at any one time.
If I decide not to use an Auftrag, what should I do with it? Each Auftrag is valid for one month, so you should keep it in case you go shopping again. All unused Auftrags should be returned to any petrol coupon outlet (where a refund may be given providing that the Auftrag is still in date) to allow destruction of the relevant payment authority.
Can someone else use my Auftrag? No – they are not transferable.
What does it cost?
Each Auftrag will cost you 4 Euros. You also need to allow for charges, currently 4% for using your Visa and Master Cards only, which will be added to your bill.
What do I do if the goods are faulty or damaged? You should always keep your receipt, which should be issued to you by the shop, and any problems should be addressed with the shop as soon as possible.
What if I do not have my own credit or bank card? You will not be able to use the One Stop System but you will still have the opportunity to buy goods tax-free. If you visit any petrol coupon outlet the staff will be pleased to advise on the procedures.
When do I Pay? Payment will be withdrawn from German bank accounts or UK Credit Cards upon receipt of the bill into the One Stop Bank Office. Individuals are to ensure that sufficient funds remain in their accounts from the day of purchase until withdrawal is confirmed on bank statements. Failure to have sufficient funds within your account will mean that a charge will be levied against you and possible removal from the One Stop list.
