Medical Reception Station (MRS) Sennelager
The MRS is situated in Talbot Barracks, within Normandy Barracks. It offers a primary health care service to Service personnel, entitled civilians and their families. It is the largest Medical Centre in the Garrison offering a variety of clinics and services including Forward Outpatients for some specialties such as dietician and optician.
Appointments In general Patients are seen by appointment only - 'On day' and urgent slots are available for Service Personnel. Please note that no formal troops sick parade is available.
Urgent appointments may be triaged by a nurse using a telephone assessment system (TAS) similar to NHS 24. Following an assessment appropriate advice will be given and if required, an appointment with a doctor will be allocated.
Nurse Clinics
The practice nurses run a nurse-led appointment system for General Clinics; Well Woman Clinics; Family Planning and Diabetic Clinic; Asthma Clinics; Pregnancy Testing Service, Travel Immunisations, Smoking Cessation and a new patient health check Service. All military medical requirements are provided for. Appointments should be made in advance via reception. Telephone advice is also available for less urgent medical conditions.
Doctors Clinics
The doctors run various clinics throughout the week. These include an evening family planning clinic, a weekly Kings School pupils clinic, minor surgery and medicals e.g for insurance purposes or troops – see Practice Leaflet for details.
Appointment Times You will be offered a 15-minute appointment. Should you require longer, please request a double appointment.

Closed on Wednesday afternoons for staff training. (Emergencies will be dealt with)
