Lost Property Auctions

During the year Strathclyde Police holds public auctions to sell the unclaimed items that are handed-in to the Force’s Lost Property offi ce.

The auctions are an opportunity for any member of the public to pick-up items such as jewellery, cameras, cycles, garden equipment, clothing and electrical goods - with all items going to the highest bidder and no reserve prices set. Over the years the auctions have proved extremely popular, with people travelling from as far afi eld as Cumbria and Ireland. By taking part, you can help to improve policing in the Strathclyde Police Force area, as all the cash that is raised is used to fund initiatives that help to make our Force area safer from crime.

When and Where?

Auctions are held at Wilson’s Auction Complex, Kilwinning Road, Dalry, Ayrshire. The auctions start at 1100 and viewing is available on the day prior from 10 am - 5 pm and on the morning of the auction.

To fi nd out more about the auctions, you can contact Strathclyde Police’s Lost Property Department on 0141 532 2468/2609 or Wilson’s Auctions on 01294 833444.
