Charity Sponsored Walk

Local Houston resident, Laura Birney, will be taking part in the 5K walk on Sunday 11th September at 11.30am in Pollok Country Park, along with with her daughter, Heather, who was born on 8th July 2011 (she will be in her pram!). Laura had Leukaemia in 2006 and was told the treatment would mean she was unable to have children, however this turned out not to be the case!

Laura is asking people to sponsor Heather’s pram to raise money for more research to keep up the good work already achieved by Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research. If you would like to sponsor her on this walk, the sponsorship page is: www.justgiving.com/Heather-Birney

The route then follows the river before turning back to fi nish once more at the Burrell Collection.
