Local Nature Reserve Celebration - Saturday 10th September, 10am – 3pm - Hogganfi eld Loch

Working in Oregon within one of the USA’s largest nurseries. Grant Findlay, Lecturer Langside College Glasgow presents this personal journey.
September at the Farm - Sunday 11th September, 12noon – 3pm - Tollcross Children’s Farm
Come on down to Tollcross Children’s Farm for a fun fi lled day of come and try workshops, music and much more. Balloon modelling and face painting for the youngsters. Fun for all the family.
City of Glasgow International Highland Cattle Show - Saturday 17th September, 10am – 4pm - Pollok Country Park
Billed as the largest show of Highland Cattle in the UK, this event is well worth a visit. In addition to the Highland Cattle Show there will be arena events, children’s entertainment, children’s rides, food market, countryside activities and much more. Come along to get a fascinating glimpse of rural life and to see how the breeders prepare their animals for the show ring and exhibit them. Judging starts at 10am. This is a great family day out with something for everyone. Pop into the Countryside Rangers’ marquee for some hands-on fun.

Toadstool Tales - Saturday 1st & Sunday 2nd October, (running twice) - Tollcross & Springburn Park, 10am – 3pm
Dyeing, drying and trying. This all day event introduces you to the wonderful world of fungi and all their uses including how to dry and store fungi, how to cook wild ones and how to spot which ones to avoid. Meet outside the Tollcross Park Visitor Centre in the Courtyard. Call 0141 276 0931 to book place.
