“Gryffe Scottish Country Dancing (SCD) Club”
Our new session of SCD begins on Thursday 8th September in the Kilbarchan Guide Centre at 8pm. New members are most welcome and if you are new to SCD, don’t worry instruction will be given and the pace is nice and relaxed. The 12 week term costs £25 per block or £3 per night. Cèilidh at The River Inn
Jason Andrews, owner of Houston’s River Inn, is supporting four Gryffe High School students in their fundraising endeavours.
6th Year students Fiona Mallinson, Alyce Russell, Craig Shields and Caitlin Inglis are holding a Cèilidh to raise money for their World Challenge expedition to the Indian Himalayas. Needing to raise £3500 each, the students will undertake a school/orphanage rebuilding project whilst there.

The Cèilidh is being held on the 17th September 2011 at Houston’s River Inn. Starting at 7pm, tickets are just £10 for adults and £7 for under 16‘s and free for under 5’s!
A live Cèilidh band, full bar, complimentary buffet, competitions and a raffl e will be there. Also taking place on the night is an auction for, amongst other things, a meal for four at the River Inn itself, which has been kindly donated by Jason.
Tickets are being sold in advance and only a limited number of tickets may be available at the door on the night. Tickets can be purchased by calling 01505 864198.

PZAZ UK Ltd presents this wonderful storyplay for 3-8 year olds.

Seeking 3 to 8 year olds to help us create the storyplay by joining in with
the story, playing some characters, using their art skills, taking part in drama activities and generally shouting out loud in good old fashioned panto style. Tickets cost £5 and the show lasts approximately one hour.

Greenock Philharmonic Society
Rehearsals for our 2011/12 season start on our new night of Wednesday 7th September in Lyle Community Kirk (formally known as Ardgowan Parish) on Union Street, Greenock at 7.30pm.
We are looking forward to our second season with our new conductor Alejandro De Palma Garrido, who will be guiding us through a programme of Pergolesi, Puccini, Debussey, and de Victoria, as well as carols old and new and a “Messiah for All”.
We are looking for new members in all sections and will start our season with an open night -no auditions!!
