Enrolment for the new session for the 1st Bridge of Weir Company of the Boys’ Brigade takes place in Freeland Church on Friday 2nd September from 7-8pm, with the fi rst meetings taking place on 8th and 9th September. New members will be warmly welcomed.
• The Anchor Boys (P1-P3), in Freeland Church, Thurs 6.15pm to 8pm. • The Junior Section (P4-P6), in St Marchar’s Church, Fri 6.30pm - 8pm. • The Company Section (P7-S6), in Freeland Church Fri 7.15pm - 10pm.
Bridge of Weir Embroiderers Guild
Commences 21st Sept with our AGM. New members are welcome to join or come as a visitor ( £2) and fi nd out more. No previous embroidery skills required. We meet in the Cargill Hall 1st & 3rd Wednesdays of the month at 7.30pm. For more information contact Cath Close 01505 850412.

BoW Fishing Club are holding a Race Night, Disco and Buffet on Saturday 17th September from 7pm - midnight. In aid of funds for a new container at Railway Arches for Bridge of Weir River Angling Club.

BOW Historic Society, Monday 26th Sept, “The Denny Tank” Scottish Maritime Museum, Dumbarton. by Craig Osborne, in the Freeland Church Hall at 8pm.
Bow Festival Committee meet on 13th September, 8pm to 10pm, in the Cargill Hall.
BoW Tenants and Residents Association (TARA) meet on 20th September, 7.30pm to 9.30pm, in the Cargill Hall.
Bridge of Weir SWRI
The fi rst meeting of the new session of Bridge of Weir SWRI will take place on Thursday 6th October at 7.15 for 7.30pm. We can look forward to a speaker from Erskine Hospital on this evening and this should be the start of what promises to be a very interesting and varied selection of meetings over the winter months. We meet in the British Legion Hall and we would be delighted to welcome any newcomers to the Rural.’
