YAMAHA’S TREE TORDOFF BRANCHES OUT
After several years working in the research and development of Yamaha’s live mixing products, David ‘Tree’ Tor- doff has swapped the laboratory for the road, being appointed the company’s new digital systems business develop- ment manager.
Having worked for over five years at the company’s European R&D centre in Chiswick, London, Tree has extensive knowledge of Yamaha’s live mixing consoles. He also has 20 years experi- ence working as a freelance sound en- gineer for a range of artists, including Radiohead, Peter Gabriel and Duran Duran (who he still works with when required), so his technical knowledge is complemented by thorough first hand experience of the issues facing sound engineers in the live environment. MEYER SOUND APPOINTS AUDIO CONNECT AS DEALER
Meyer Sound has announced Audio Connect as a new dealer for the company’s extensive line of loudspeak- er and digital audio solutions for live sound and install applications. Based in the Belgian city of Moeskroen, Audio Connect will provide service and sup- port to the professional AV community in Belgium and Luxembourg. Belgian company’s recent insolvency. As a consequence, effective immedi- ately, Martin Professional will serve its Belgian customers directly via a strong local sales and service network admin- istered by Martin Professional EMEA, Martin’s headquarter-based regional sales organisation. ADAMSON AND LAB. GRUPPEN TRAINING SEMINAR IN CYPRUS
Prosonic Audio Lights based in Nicosia, Cyprus has installed a new Adamson system in a newly built club, where they recently held a two-day workshop dedi- cated to existing and new customers, with an opportunity to talk directly with the manufacturers.
The Pyles Club situated in the Latsia industrial area, packed in about 30 in- dustry professionals from the country’s PA companies, as well as freelance engineers and contractors for the first Adamson seminar held in Cyprus.
