OPTOCORE | SERVER / CLIENT SOFTWARE www.optocore.com

Optocore has developed a new Server / Client software that will facilitate simultaneous network control from multiple computers. Prior to this latest develop- ment, the standard Optocore control software had been purely Workstation-based - meaning that Optocore network control was confined to the software installed on a single computer. Setting up could not be easier. Upon installation, the software asks whether the user wishes to install Workstation, Client or Server & Client. By installing Server & Client on one computer - connected to the Optocore network by USB or RS232 - and Client on every other nominated computer the Optocore network can be controlled by enabling the Ethernet transport once a LAN has been set up between the computers (using standard components). Once configured, every individual computer can access the server, and users can make changes to the network simultaneously.

ROBE | ROBIN MMX SPOT www.robe.cz

The Robe ROBIN MMX Spot is built on the successful ROBIN platform and has an optimised optical path utilising a brand new 800 W discharge lamp, this combination produces prominent light output which exceeds that of the currently available 1200W discharge fixtures. Many features include a speedy 8.5 - 42.5 zoom range, complemented by two rotating gobo wheels and a revolutionary designed animation wheel (patent pending) which can be combined for the creation of spectacular and complex new effects. DMX controlled noise reduction of the unique cooling system make this fixture ideal for low noise environments needing high light output. Other features include a CMY and CTO dichroic colour flag system, for smooth and quick colour mixing, variable frost effect and remote beam flatness and hot-spot control. The RNS2 navigation system has an LCD touch screen, battery back-up and gravity sensor for auto screen positioning, so it’s always the right way up whatever the orientation of the fixture.

SOUNDCRAFT | SI COMPACT 16 www.soundcraft.com

With full DSP functionality built-in to a small-footprint chassis, the Si Compact range provides up to 40 inputs to mix in 3 frame sizes. Motorised faders with patented Soundcraft FaderGlow operate on two layers, but the main difference from similarly priced mixers is the provision of a full encoder set for all the functions on a channel, from input gain through EQ and dynamics to bus controls. Drawing on its bigger brothers, Soundcraft’s acclaimed Si Series, the new Si Compact packs powerful digital mixing facilities along with stunning Lexicon effects into a trio of small footprint consoles available in 16, 24 or 32 mic / line input formats, with four stereo returns. No layering of the audio controls makes operation fast and simple, and with four separate Lexicon FX processors with dedicated FX busses in addition to the main mixes, and BSS Graphic EQ for every bus, you’ll never find yourself wishing you had more processing power. Legendary Soundcraft audio quality comes courtesy of EMMA Lite, the same DSP platform that has helped propel the larger Si Series to industry standard status and riders on events all around the world.
