The EB-Z8000WU is the world’s first 3LCD WUXA projector delivering 6,000 lumens colour light output for a high quality picture and impressive performance in any large venue. This projector made its debut on the Epson stand. Also on display were the Epson EB-G5350WU and EB-G5650W projectors, which provide outstanding image quality with easy installation. They are designed for installa- tion in auditoriums or lecture theatres yet also suited to applications in simulations, museums, galleries and cinemas, as well as medical environments. Funktion One, a first time exhibitor at ISE, focussed on its growing portfolio of installed sound solutions. Showing on the stand for the first time was a coherent cluster of AX88 loudspeakers with additional F118 bass enclosures. Genelec launched the 4040A, a new model in its 4000 Series range of active 2-way loudspeakers. The new model, in common with the existing models in the range, is designed for the professional installation market, while incorporating new features for use in applications such as larger conference rooms and auditoria. Harman displayed products from all its major brands. Amongst the highlights were the BSS BLU-100 DSP, the Crown XLS Series of amplifiers, new additions to the JBL EON Series, and the Soundcarft Vi1 and SI Compact.

The new Vortis Series from HK Audio is aimed at the often-challenging demands of modern indoor installations, such as theatres and multi-purpose halls. Vortis comprises six high-performance full range cabinets, which were on show at ISE. Also on display was Elements, the world’s one and only scalable line source sys- tem. Francis Williams of World Marketing Associates used the show as a platform to announce the formation of a new AV integration company, Incus AV Ltd. The new company will provide state-of-the-art audio-visual, video conferencing, public ad- dress, digital signage and voice evacuation systems throughout the world. Leading the industry in digital connectivity networking solutions, Lab X Technolo- gies has issued a solution integration license of its AVB Audio IP Platform to Avid for development of an IEEE 802.1 Audio Video Bridging (AVB)-based technology. Avid and Lab X previewed the possibilities of digital networking, with simplified solutions for the complex issues common in the live sound networking industry. Lab X Technologies also introduced the Titanium 411 1GB AVB Ethernet Switch at ISE. Supporting IEEE 802.1 Audio Video Bridging standards, the Titanium 411 is specifically designed for the demanding needs of AV-networking applications.
