DESCRIPTION: Take your pilates practice to the next level. This small group training class will take you beyond the essential exercises. The reformer is designed to leverage specific pilates movements to improve the overall mind and body connection. Build on your strength and coordination while developing a toned, lean and balanced body without adding bulk. It is recommended that all participants have taken the ORC’s Introduction to Pilates Reformer or equivalent.

DESCRIPTION: Meditation is the practice of mental concentration by focusing our attention on “something”, while letting go our ongoing thoughts. It has been used for more than 5,000 years as spiritual and therapeutic tools. When you learn to focus on something you learn to clear your Mind from ongoing thoughts affecting us permanently. The ultimate goal is to achieve a still (quiet) mental state. There are many types of meditation based on their specific focusing techniques and postures. The simplest form - Mindfulness Meditation - is the oldest and probably the most effective one. The meditation that we teach is Zen* mindfulness technique where the focusing point is our own breathing. No artifices such as visualization, music or mantra are used; just a quite place and you.
