Beginners: An introduction to squash for younger kids. Group activities are geared towards developing racquet sense, hand eye coordination and fun.
Youth Program: (ages 8 to 12) Children with minimal skills will be trained to improve their technique, learn tactics, movement and improve their fitness level. The goal is to develop consistency and control with the ball so they can build a rally and play a game in non-competitive match play.
Teen Program: (ages 13 to 18) Recreational players with minimal skills will be trained to improve their technique, tactics, move- ment and fitness level. The goal is for these players to learn to self feed, feed each other and do simple drills and to progress to the tournament group once they acquire the proper skill level and want to compete in tournaments.
Tournament Group: (ages 8 to 12) Invitation only program for participants with an acceptable skill level and commitment to compete. May be asked to complete a skill test. Geared towards players with the goal to play competitive Squash, players in this program would already have been taught technical and tactical skills. The aim would be to improve their skills so that they are able to drill and play matches. It is our expectation that these players compete in Squash Ontario tournaments.
Tournament Program: (ages 13 to 18) Invitation only program for players with complex drill skills and who play Squash as their main sport. Players in this program will be working on mastering all aspects of the game and should be competing in Squash Ontario, Provincial and National tournaments. Players may be asked to complete a skill test for entrance to this group.
