Tennis Learn! Train! Play!

Have you just picked up a racquet for the first time? Are you playing for fitness? Are you looking for the challenge of intense competition? Whatever your age, whatever your level, the ORC has a tennis program that is right for you.

Our programs are divided into; LEARN—gain the skills and knowledge to be able to play the game; TRAIN—improve your tactical and technical skills and PLAY—on both a competitive and social level. Each adult program also has a Fit Factor Rating to help

you reach your fitness goals—just select your desired outcome and view the suitable programs.

Junior programs are centered on Tennis Canada’s Progressive Tennis model, with development programs for all players to improve their skills. ORC also has the largest high performance junior academy in Canada and is designated as a Tennis Canada gold level Tennis Development Centre.

Take a look at the programs and if you still have questions, please feel free to contact Gary Muller at extension 245 or gmuller@ ontarioracquetclub.com. See you on court.

Gary Muller, Tennis Director South African Gary Muller joined the ORC in January 2010,

bringing with him a wealth of experience as both an ATP tour professional player and tour coach.

With a professional career that spanned twelve years, Gary chalked up impressive wins over Agassi, Courier, Chang and Edberg, amongst others. He reached a career high world ranking of 49 in singles and 7 in doubles.

Although Gary achieved some success on the Tour, he believes he is a much better coach than player. His international coaching experience includes eight years on the ATP Tour. He has worked with Swedish players Jonas Bjorkman, who won six Grand Slam Doubles titles and

three singles titles during Gary’s tenure, and Thomas Johansson, Australian Open Winner. He also coached Stefan Koubek (Austria), who reached a career high of 19; and Sargis Sargsian (Armenia) , who reached a career high of top 40.

Gary’s coaching experience includes four years working with high performance juniors at a private academy in Vienna, Austria as well as training promising young players in South Africa. He believes the key to making a difference is a lot of hours of quality training on court.

Gary was also on the ATP Board of Directors as a Player Representative from 2002 to 2004. Gary is excited about the sport’s potential in Canada. He is eager to share his passion for the game with everyone at the ORC.
