SQUASH Squash Tips
1. GET THE BALL PROPERLY WARMED UP – Getting the blood flowing and the muscles warm will improve your performance and help you stay injury free.
2. CONTROL THE BALL – Get your control and timing first – then you can increase the pace.
3. TAKE THE BALL EARLY (Volley) – This takes time away from your opponent and puts them under pressure.
4. HIT THE BALL TO THE CORNERS, this will make your opponent run and give you more time between shots.
5. CONTROL THE ‘T’ – the person that controls the ‘T’ controls the match.
6. STAY FOCUSED – Once you have lost your concentration it is hard to get it back.

7. STAY CALM – losing your cool only motivates your opponent
8. KEEP THE BALL TIGHT TO THE WALLS – this cuts down your opponents angles giving them fewer options.
9. USE VARIETY – mixing up your shots and the pace of your shots keeps your opponent off guard.
10. KEEP YOUR FEET MOVING – don’t get caught flat footed.
11. BE DECEPTIVE – show one shot and hit another this will keep your opponent guessing.
12. KEEP YOUR BALANCE – this will allow you to retrieve more shots and play better shots once you are there.
13. TRY TO GET A LITTLE BETTER EACH TIME.
