SQUASH

Tournament Group: (ages 8 to 12) Invitation only program for participants with an acceptable skill level and commitment to compete. May be asked to complete a skill test. Geared towards players with the goal to play competitive Squash, players in this program would already have been taught technical and tactical skills. The aim would be to improve their skills so that they are able to drill and play matches. It is our expectation that these players compete in Squash Ontario tournaments.

Tournament Program: (ages 13 to 18) Invitation only program for players with complex drill skills and who play Squash as their main sport. Players in this program will be working on mastering all aspects of the game and should be competing in Squash Ontario, Provincial and National tourna- ments. Players may be asked to complete a skill test for entrance to this group.

Contact Ian Power and book a time to spend 20 minutes on court so that you can be placed on the online challenge ladder, be matched up with comparable squash partners, and receive a tip on improving your squash. Never played before? Squash is easy to pick up – in your assessment you will get a thumbnail of the rules, scoring and basics of squash so that you can enjoy playing games instantly.

Singles Online Challenge Ladder

All ORC members are placed on the ladder and assigned a ranking that changes accord- ing to the results of the matches that they play. An essential aspect of the ORC squash experience, the challenge ladder offers ready online access to matches and contact info for fellow players. All ORC squash members are strongly encouraged to enter all results on the online ladder to maintain their ranking. An accurate ranking ensures placement in the appropriate levels in club leagues and events, and also indicates their level to other members looking for matches. The ladder is also a valuable re- source for players who wish to find spares when they are unable to find house league matches.

Singles Online Box League Perfect for players who have busy schedules and commit to the Monday night squash league. Players register by email two weeks prior to the start of the monthly league. At the outset of the four week league, play- ers contact the other four players in their monthly box to arrange their matches. The top player in each box moves up and the bottom player moves down. Newcomers to the league are placed in the box accord- ing to their ranking on the online challenge ladder.

Doubles Box League You and your partner can play in the open,

ladies, or mixed categories- register by email two weeks prior to the start of monthly league. At the outset of the league, you and your partner should contact the other teams in your box(es) and set up your matches. The top team in each box moves up and the bottom team moves down.
