Code: LCHF1603 This introductory hospitality course is ideal for people with learning difficulties. You will help to run the College’s Essential Café one day a week. Entry Certificate in Hospitality and Catering (level 2)


Code: LCHF1609 This is a natural progression on completion of the Catering entry level 1 course (see previous). You will improve your skills set in hospitality as well as help to run the College’s Essential Café one day a week. Foundation Certificate in Hospitality and Catering


with ESOL (NVQ level 1) Code: LCHF12034 This is an introductory course into the hospitality industry for people who speak English as a second language. The course will embed ESOL entry 3 as a part of the training and you will achieve an NVQ level 1 in hospitality alongside your ESOL qualification. Start date: 13 September 2010 End date: 15 July 2011 Duration of the course: 36 weeks Entry requirements: College interview Mode of attendance: Full-time (day) Possible next steps: Intermediate Certificate in Hospitality and Catering (NVQ level 2). Code: LCHF51790 This is a flexible programme aimed at people who are interested in working within the hospitality industry. It provides the opportunity for you to train and develop entry skills and knowledge across different aspects of both the kitchen and the service / bar area. Start date: 13 September 2010 End date: 15 July 2011 Duration of the course: 25 weeks Entry requirements: College interview. A relevant 1 week work experience is desirable. Mode of attendance: Full time - Day Possible next steps: Hospitality NVQ level 2 or employment in a Cafe or Deli as a Kitchen Assistant. Approximate tuition fees: £1,671 to £1,699


Intermediate Certificate in Hospitality and


Catering (NVQ level 2) Code: LCHF32054 Move on to become a highly skilled and well sought after hospitality employee or gain a promotion at work when you complete this course. You will be trained to high professional standards and be considered in the industry to be capable of becoming a chef de partié or station waiter. Entry requirements: College interview and assessment. Plus, if you are studying the part-time option, you will also need to be employed in a relevant role. Possible next steps: NVQ3 in Professional Cookery or Hospitality Supervision NVQ level 3. Food Safety (level 2) - one day course


Code: LCHF52031 A formal qualification designed for food handlers working at a supervisory/management level whose principal job role is to implement food safety principles in organisations or work in high risk roles such as butchers, sous chefs or head chefs. Start date: 13 Sept 2010 End date: 5 July 2011 Entry requirements: No entry requirements. Mode of attendance: Part-time (one day) Possible next steps: Level 3 in Food Safety Fee: £70
