Welcome from the Principal, Ian Ashman Welcome to Hackney Community College; officially a “GOOD” college! We’re passionate about the work we do to help people, like you, achieve their goals - and we’re delighted that Ofsted acknowledged our work when they inspected us in May 2010.
We offer courses for everyone. People from many different backgrounds come to us at different stages of their lives to achieve. We have a supportive, safe and friendly environment for anyone wanting to study. Our courses range from pre-entry level right up to level 7. So whether you’re looking to re-train and get back into work, looking to get a qualification to get a great job, or simply looking to gain an extra skill, we invite you to come and have a look around our campus and see why you should make Hackney Community College your first choice.

HCC was inspected by Ofsted in May 2010. This is what our students told them that they like about the College: • the diversity and mix of learners and the ethos of equality in the College
• feeling safe and the friendly atmosphere in the College • the teaching, which has generally improved in the last year • the staff, who are very supportive and help learners enjoy College • the advice they receive about progression routes, within and outside the College • the improvements the College has made to help learners achieve • the way the College listens to them and resolves any issues they identify • the ILT resources which are used well by teachers to support learning.
Inspectors also found that "Learners enjoy their studies and are proud of their achievements. They are motivated by their studies and develop the confidence and enthusiasm to engage in further learning.”
The Ofsted report rates Hackney Community College as a "Good" College.
