Numeracy (entry levels and level 1: day and evening)
On this course you will improve your skills in maths covering subjects such as measurement, calculation of numbers, money and time and interpretation of data. You will increase your confidence and be prepared to meet the requirements of other college courses with regard to numeracy. Entry requirements: College interview and assessment, plus a commitment to learn and a previous record of good attendance if applicable. Possible next step: Higher level vocational College courses. Maths GCSE (part-time day and evening options) With this course, you could achieve a key qualification for life, work and further study. We offer GCSE maths at foundation level (maximum grade C) and higher level (maximum grade A*). Exam topics include shape and space, number, algebra and statistics. You also have the opportunity to take the new Functional Skills exams at level 2. These are new qualifications that are being piloted by the Government. (It's planned that in future years, they will be a constituent part of GCSE). Entry requirements: College initial assessment. Possible next steps: To higher level courses or employment.
