BTEC Extended Diploma in Fashion and Clothing


(level 3) Code: ARTF3509 This course covers a broad range of subjects relevant to the fashion industry. You will study 18 units that include: visual communication, fashion illustration, garment construction, marketing, computer in design and the history of fashion/arts. As part of the course you will be given the opportunity to participate in industry-led projects such as the Alternative Fashion Week at Spitalfields. You will develop a range of employability skills and techniques, personal qualities and attitudes essential for success in working life. You will also study literacy or ESOL as well as numeracy. BTEC Diploma in Health and Social Care (level 2)


Code: CPRF11468 This course provides an introduction to health and social care and gives a basis for progressing to more advanced work-related qualifications. There are six modules: communication and rights, individual needs in health and social care, vocational experience, health and social care services, diet and health and lifespan development. The course runs three days a week. You will also study literacy or ESOL as well as numeracy. Health and Social Care (entry level)


Code: CPRF1356 This is a course for people who have no qualifications and are interested in a career in the health services or in a care setting. It gives an introduction to health and social care and improves language skills. It’s especially designed for people who speak English as a second language. After successful completion of the course, you will also get an ESOL and maths certificate. This course often appeals to mature students returning to learning. BTEC Subsidiary Diploma in Health and Social Care (level 3) with progression to Diploma level 3


in 2nd year The aim of this course is to provide a vocationally-related qualification that draws on the main themes of work in the sector. It gives the opportunity to complete a work placement which adds to the vocational scope of the qualification. The option to work in a variety of sectors, combined with a number of specialist units, means that you’ll have an opportunity to get a broad understanding of the sector and a specialist understanding of specific aspects. You will also study key skills: communication and numeracy. Progression to the 2nd year is decided by level of work, attitude and attendance during the first year. Entry requirements: 4 GCSEs at grade A–C or a merit at level 2 BTEC and a College assessment.
