The University of Toronto welcomes applicants from all over Canada and the world. The people who gather together here to research and learn are remarkably diverse, both in their backgrounds and in the breadth of their academic interests. No other university in Canada, and few in North America, can match the range and reputation of the University of Toronto's programs. Students enrol in undergraduate programs following matriculation from Canadian high schools, or the equivalent from other educational jurisdictions (International Baccalaureate, Selectividad, ‘A’ levels, etc.), although for some degree programs there are additional requirements.

Along with the diversity of a world-class university, U of T also offers the intimate scale of small college life. The university is composed of 7 colleges, each with a distinctive feel and sense of community. It has more than 340 student clubs and organizations on all three campuses and innumerable activities ranging from cultural events at Hart House to intercollegiate and intramural sporting activities.
