There are two language centres, one in Bologna (CILTA) which includes the ALTAIR special project and one in Romagna (CLIRO)

The University of Bologna Careers Service centre offers guidance and advice on careers. The service has the aim of helping students and graduates of the University of Bologna to discover which career is most suited to their expectations and ambitions
● Internships
Vocational training experiences in the structures that have an agreement with the University offer students and recently graduated students the opportunity of getting to know the working world and to develop and put into practice what they have learned during their academic studies
● Library
The library network contains several million titles and promotes the awareness of the best scientific and academic publications from every country and the global diffusion of results obtained by research carried out at the University
● Financial aid
Foreign citizens (EU and non-EU) can access grant services by means of competition, on an equal footing with Italian citizens: they can therefore apply for Grants from the Regional Grants Committee (ARTSUD) and for reduced tuition fees for the University of Bologna under the annual terms and conditions for grant applications
●Accommodation
The possibilities to obtain lodging at the university and college residence halls are numerous with some of them offering study grants, with the help of private funding
ADMISSION requirements
European Union citizens are admitted to degree courses under the same conditions as Italian students. Exams they have to take are those tests required for admission to the chosen course of studies: entrance exams for courses with limited numbers and aptitude tests for certain three-year degree courses. They do not take the Italian language proficiency exam. registration for the University of Bologna can be completed on-line by going to the site
www.almawelcome.unibo.it. To be able to use the on-line service, students must be in possession of a codice fiscale (tax registration number). For students abroad, this tax registration number can be applied for at the Italian Embassy- Consulate offices.

Founded in 1088, the University of Bologna is recognised as the oldest university in the western world and offers a multi-campus structure which is divided into 23 faculties, 68 departments and 5 university campus branches within the cities of Bologna, Cesena, Forlì, Ravenna and Rimini.
