Handling Boltonmanor Saloon Ann 15, this is the best result for Anna who stood honourable mention in the showmanship at UK Dairy Expo 2014 and was reserve champion at the All Breeds All Britain 2011. Anna is manager of Semex’s mating programme Promate.


“The champion and reserve handlers were exceptional,” added Jessica, “They could go far in any ring across the world.” Standing reserve was Scotland South’s intermediate class winner Alison Hunter. Alison led her own heifer Letterkenny Explode Laurie, who stood champion calf at the Scottish qualifier. In the junior class 13 year-old Robert Morley from Border and Lakeland stood top of the line. Last year he was part of the team and wore the bristles out of the brush sweeping the stand clean all weekend and his efforts didn’t go unnoticed with the team winning tidy lines. Robert was lucky to be able to compete having suffered from food poisoning all of the week leading up to the show.


Although competing for the first time in the ring at the calf show Robert’s calm attitude and better arm carriage gave him the advantage over Harvey Swale from Lancashire in second and Harriet Edge from Western in third.
