Amongst many other new products, at this IBC Datavideo is highlighting its latest teleprompters. Like earlier systems, the TP-500 and TP- 600 are designed around Apple iPad and Google’s Android tablets. Each is controlled by the presenter via a wired or wireless remote. However, twinned with mini WiFi encoders, multiple teleprompters can be controlled from the production desk. The TP-500 is designed for
use with DSLR and small handheld camcorders. It’s aimed at webcasts, low-cost documentary makers and student productions.
Designed for news and studio
environments, the larger TP-600 unit can be assembled quickly to deliver through the lens prompting for production using shoulder-mount cameras either in the field or in the television studio.
Both the TP-500 and TP-600 employ 60/40 glass, an adjustable black hood, and a frame that fixes securely to any
standard tripod quick release plate. At launch both systems will be available with a universal Bluetooth remote controller, a device that can play, pause and rewind scripts loaded onto the prompter tablets. of multiscreen capabilities, including service customisation, enhanced content protection, and cross-device use-case support, operators can deliver the highest quality of experience to subscribers, according to Espial. The Espial MSP can be customised to support TV
Everywhere services by market segments based on region, language, and other requirements. This allows operators to tailor TV channel line-ups, pricing models, movies, and services including
linear TV, VoD, time-shift television, digital video recording, and pay-per-view for their target markets. Through what the company
describes as a robust set of controls, operators are said to
be able to easily meet multiscreen content licensing obligations by limiting access to content based on geography, user, and device. The platform also allows operators to support cross-
device use cases, such as the one-time setting of parental controls from any device, place- shifting across devices including STBs, bookmarking between devices, and unified searching. 5.B10
