BUILDING ON THE BRAND London’s Condé Nast College of Fashion
F ashion enthusiasts
around the world read Vogue like it is the Bible. Now they have the opportunity to sit at the feet of the creators of “The Bible” and learn.
Vogue publisher
Condé Nast opened the Condé Nast College of Fashion and Design in London in January 2013, with founding editor of Easy Living magazine and former deputy editor of British Vogue Susie Forbes in charge.
“There is a mildly amusing story about how
I broke into the world of fashion magazines some 25 years ago, most of which revolves around a small case of mistaken identity and a huge stroke of luck,” wrote Susie Forbes in the College’s first prospectus.
“Unfortunately, particularly in these
highly competitive times… luck just can’t be depended upon. It is therefore with great pride and excitement that I bring you… the Condé Nast College of Fashion & Design.”
The tuition is not for the fainthearted: US$10,370 for the Certificate programme, US$30,700 for the year-long diploma programme.
The College opened offering a 10-week
Vogue Fashion Certificate programme, and in October 2013 will offer the Vogue Fashion Foundation diploma that will take a year to complete.
