SUMMER CAMP GUIDE 2012 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS


WHERE DO I DROP OFF AND PICK UP MY CHILD?


Preschool Camps/Extended Day takes place at the Preschool; you must drop off and pick up your child each day from the preschool. Additionally, it is a state requirement that you sign your child in and out each day with their teacher.


WHAT ARE THE PRESCHOOL CAMP HOURS?


Preschool Camp Hours: FULL DAY


8:30 am – 3:45 pm (includes 1 hour rest time)


HALF DAY 9:00 am - 1:30 pm


Preschool Extended Camp Hours: Drop Off


6:30 am-8:00am Pick Up


3:45 pm-6:00pm


WHAT IF I AM LATE PICKING UP MY CHILD?


A $15 late pick up fee will be charged for any of the first 15 minutes after the end of your child’s camp day. An additional $1 per minute fee will be charged after the first 15 minutes.


WHERE CAN I VIEW MY CHILD’S PRESCHOOL CAMP SCHEDULE?


The daily schedule is available electronically through our Camp Website beginning June 22nd. Please visit www.ecke.ymca.org/camp. At this site, you will be provided with the daily schedule of each camp’s activities throughout the summer. Once on the site, click on your child’s camp and “weekly calendar” in the upper right hand corner. Those who do not have internet access may call our registration line and request a schedule to be mailed to your home.


IS SNACK AND LUNCH PROVIDED?


We provide a healthy snack which includes two food groups and milk or juice; once a day in the half day camp program and twice a day in the full day camp program. Parents are responsible for providing a healthy lunch each day for their child.


WILL MY CHILD HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO REST?


In accordance with State of California Licensing, if your child is in the full day camp program, they are required a 1 hour rest time. Your child will be provided a cot and we encourage parents to bring in a small crib sheet, blanket and cuddle item to keep at camp during the week.
