SUMMER CAMP GUIDE 2012 CAMPING – NEW!
4th - 7th Grade | $170/$205 | Session 5 | Ada Harris
What ever happened to spending summers outside getting dirty and enjoying the great outdoors? This camp will get back to the basics of summer camp. Teambuilding activities will be paired with skill building so that campers will learn basic camping and survival skills. Campers skills will be tested with a real overnight camping experience in the wild on Thursday night at San Mateo camp ground led by experienced staff in the wild.
CERAMICS
1st - 5th Grade | $213/$255 Session 3 | Ada Harris
Craft and create beautiful works of art. Construct plates, sculptures, bowls and anything you can think of. You will also get to paint different ceramics so that by the end of the week you will have a show room full of art. Wear clothes you can get dirty.
CHEER
1st - 4th Grade | $183/$219 Session 4, 10 | YMCA
Calling all Cheerleaders! Join this camp to learn choreographed routines, chants and cheers from our qualifi ed YMCA staff. Campers will work on their technique, rhythm and form. They will show off their new talent at the end of the week in a cheer show! As a special gift to the campers, each camper will be given their own pair of pom-poms to help show off their spirit!
CIRCUS - NEW!
2nd - 5th Grade | $222/$268 | Session 6,10 | Ada Harris
Class Clown? That isn’t a bad thing at the YMCA! Learn to be a clown and many of your other favorite characters from the circus. You will love to see your creations made of balloons and marvel at your new magic tricks.
CLAYMATION - NEW!
3rd - 7th Grade | $222/$268 Session 6 | Ada Harris
Quiet on the set! Campers will work as a team to create a Claymation movie which will be uploaded to a secure site for friends and family to enjoy. Develop all the aspects of your movie out of clay from the script to characters. Your creativity will be tested.
