Important information parents should know:
Summer Camp is for everyone! Serving youth ages 3 to 17 years old in a variety of camps that are stimulating and educational. From serving younger campers in our preschool camps to our new line of teen focused activities, there is something for everyone.

Normal Camp Hours 8:00 am - 3:45 pm Drop off Window 8:00 am - 8:30 am Pick up Window 3:00 pm - 3:45 pm
EXTENDED CAMP HOURS
If you like care outside of these hours, the Y offers an extended day program. 6:30 am - 8:00 am 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm For more information about alternate Extended Day programs, please see page 20.
The Magdalena Ecke Family YMCA offers camp at two locations:
Main YMCA Facility 200 Saxony Rd. Encinitas, CA 92024
Ada Harris Elementary 1508 Windsor Rd. Cardiff by the Sea, CA 92007
Preschool Camp 200 Saxony Rd. Encinitas, CA 92024
*Please note that all preschool campers will need to be signed into the program by an adult at the preschool entrance of the main YMCA.
The location of each camp is noted next to the camp description in this catalog.
We do not offer transportation between the sites for campers. If you are looking for help with transportation to and from camp, please consider our Y-Transit program. This program delivers campers to the correct location with pick up and drop off locations near your home. please see page 12.
REGISTRATION INFORMATION:
Member Registration begins: Friday, March 2 at 7:00am
Non – Member Registration begins: Monday, March 5 at 7:00am
In order to effectively staff and coordinate each camp, please register the Thursday before camp starts. Registrations received 5 days or less prior to the first day of the camp will be charged an additional $20 per camp.
A Youth Membership is only $85 annually. Once a member, your child will receive member rates for all YMCA programs at our Y.

If your camper has any special needs, please let us know when registering. The Magdalena Ecke Family YMCA funds and operates an inclusion program that may be able to provide an aide for your camper. For more information regarding the Inclusion program, please contact Tommi Mann at

What we will need before you register:
Before you register, all campers must have a current Medical Release form updated and submitted to the YMCA after January 2012. Medical Release forms can be found at the YMCA Registration Desk, in the middle of this catalog or online at:

AUTHORIZED PICK-UP
Please be sure to add all authorized pickups on the medical release form. No one will be able to pick up a camper without being on this list. If you need to add additional people after this form has beeen turned in, please contact registration. Photo I.D. will be required from parents when adding authorized pick-ups.
Some camps do require additional waivers. Our Administrative Coordinator will contact you about completing these forms before the camp start date or please inquire about them when you are registering.
