SUMMER CAMP GUIDE 2012 PAINTBALL
6th - 10th Grade | $283/$343 | Sessions 3, 5, 7, 10 | Ada Harris
Spend a week in the trenches as a paintball pro! Campers will travel to Camp Pendleton or Mr. Paintball everyday during the week for an ultimate paintball experience including 3-3.5 hours of paintball per day, depending on travel time. When paintballing, all campers should wear pants and shoes with excellent traction. Gloves are also recommended and are not provided. Coveralls, face masks and all paintball equipment will be provided. Safety conscious referees will be present during all paintballing.
PHOTOGRAPHY
4th - 7th Grade | $223/$268 | Session 8 | Ada Harris
Use your camp lens to look into Photography! Together with our photography experts, campers will make a diverse portfolio of work and learn all about the different aspects of photography. Within their groups, they will learn about and practice using angles, moving and still shots and lighting. After this camp, your camper will be ready for a hobby in photography!
PROJECT RUNWAY
3rd - 7th Grade | $223/$268 Session 9 | Ada Harris
Be the next Hollywood Designer! Just like the reality television show, your camper will design clothing for a runway show at the end of the week. The camp will include a basic introduction to sewing along with a lot of creation using designs, patterns, beading, Velcro and multiple techniques for each outfi t’s design! This camp is perfect for your future designer!
RADICAL REPTILES
1st - 4th Grade | $223/$243 Session 6, 9 | Ada Harris
Half Day 8:00 am – 12:00 pm $120/$143 | Pick-up at Ada Harris
Slither into the world of reptiles! For two hours a day, campers will check out and touch real snakes, lizards, turtles, tarantulas, hedgehogs, millipedes and others! In addition, campers will do many different fun activities that investigate the lives and habitats of these reptiles. This camp is totally hands-on and enhanced by arts and crafts, games and various projects related to these animals. This camp is a unique experience that is continuously a hit!
RHYTHMIC GYMNASTICS
1st – 5th Grade | $179/$214 Sessions 9 | YMCA
Half Day 8:00 am – 12:15 pm $102/$128 | Pick-up at YMCA
Spin and twirl with Rhythmic Gymnastics expert coaches. Unlike traditional gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics combine instruction in ballet and creative movement with choreographed music to create a beautiful masterpiece. Campers will work with ribbons, hoops, ropes and clubs which they will swing, throw and catch. Show will be presented on Friday for those that are able to attend.
