SUMMER CAMP GUIDE 2012 SOCCER FOR GIRLS
1st – 5th Grade | $178/$208 Sessions 10 | YMCA
The YMCA Soccer Camp for girls is a great place for any soccer enthusiast or new soccer player to develop skills, work hard, make new friends and have fun! In this recreational camp, our YMCA camp staff will emphasize skill building through drills, group games, scrimmages and team work. Participants will be swimming at the YMCA swimming pool, making crafts, group games, sports and more. Our goal is to provide girls with the tools to improve and to enjoy soccer for life! Lighting soccer instructors will join the camp for one day. Shin guards required.
SOFTBALL
1st – 5th Grade | $178/$208 | Sessions 3 | YMCA
Hit a homerun when you join this camp! Campers will be split into smaller groups by age and skill level for the week’s instruction. Game strategy, batting techniques, fi elding practice and supportive group play will be introduced to all softball campers. YMCA coaches will teach game fundamentals through fun, active games and lead organized scrimmages. Once a week, campers will travel to batting cages to put what they have learned to the test. Softball gloves are required. Other activities include swimming at our YMCA pool and other fun, energetic outdoor activities.

SPA RETREAT – NEW!
1st – 5th Grade | $220/$265 Sessions 9 | Ada Harris
Sorry Mom, this is for kids only! Get your nails and hair done. Learn to make your own perfume and lotions. After yoga, campers will come home relaxed and with goodies. Counselors will be focused on cultivating camper’s inner beauty and strength.
SPLASH
1st – 4th Grade | $193/$233 Sessions 2, 4*, 6 -11 | YMCA
Your camper will morph into a fl ying fi sh while spending the week in Splash camp. This camp will focus on swim instruction for the beginner to the intermediate swimmer. Campers will be taught how to perform basic strokes, tread water and learn water safety. Campers will receive one 45-minute group swimming lesson and one 45-minute “free swim” session each day combined with active games, crafts and other fun camp activities.
STAR WARS
1st - 4th Grade | $223/$268 Session 3, 9 | Ada Harris
Come to the YMCA’s Jedi Training Academy! May the fun be with you! Enter the Y’s fantasy training camp and earn the protection of the force. Campers will all participate in lightsaber training, jedi outfi t manufacturing and the epic battle between good and evil.
SUPER STYLISTS
1st - 5th Grade | $223/$268 Session 7, 9 | Ada Harris
Become a hair stylist in one week! Although no live hair will be cut or colored during this exciting camp, campers will be engaging in hair styling, curling, blow drying, styling, layering, coloring and cutting. Scissors will be kid friendly, hair will be synthetic and fun will be real. In an addition, a special make up session will be included at our week long salon-training camp!
