SUMMER CAMP GUIDE 2012 FLAG FOOTBALL
1st - 4th Grade | $183/$219 Sessions 5, 9 | YMCA
Join the experienced sports camp staff as they lead daily recreational scrimmages and teach campers basic flag football skills. Whether your camper is new to flag football or a future Phillip Rivers, they will have a blast in this camp. There will be an emphasis placed on teamwork and sportsmanship. Campers will enjoy the relief from the heat by enjoying the YMCA pool for one afternoon.
FORT CAMP - NEW!
1st - 4th Grade | $222/$268 Sessions 4*, 10 | YMCA
Tired of building forts out of sheets? Fort camp will be building a new fort every day out of different materials. Campers will work together to build and design different fort creations from their wildest imaginations. At the end of the week, we invite parents to come and see the architectural feats of our fort city.
G.I. JOE – NEW!
2nd – 6th Grade | $222/$267 | Sessions 3 | Ada Harris
America, the Home of the Brave! If your camper loves to strategize and is fascinated by the Military, this will be a dream come true week. With a focus on what America’s military does around the world for peace and their in history, this week long adventure will take campers into a whole new world. Behind the scenes tours of submarines, air bases and Camp Pendleton will be given by real service men and women.
GLEE
1st – 5th Grade | $393/$463 Sessions 9 & 10 | Ada Harris
Be a rockstar of the YMCA’s Glee Club. Spend two weeks in group voice, acting and dance lessons to create a wonderful final performance for friends and family the last day of camp. Each camper will play an important role in putting together the performance and everyone is sure to learn a lot. This camp will also participate in traditional camp games and crafts.
GOLF
2nd – 6th Grade | $263/$305 | Sessions 3, 7 | Ada Harris
Half Day 8:00 am - 12:15 pm $177/$218 | Pick-up Encinitas Ranch
Golf can become a lifelong sport when you start with building confidence through training and proper technique. Campers will learn the fundamentals of golfing including etiquette, technique and strategy from the top pros at the Encinitas Ranch Golf Course. Perfect for the first-time golfer or campers looking for qualified instruction to move their game to the next level, this program will include 12 hours of weekly instruction from a golf professional. The YMCA does not have loaner clubs available.
GYMNASTICS
1st - 5th Grade | $203/$243 | Sessions 2, 3, 5-8, 11 | YMCA
Half Day 8:00 am - 12:15 pm | $102/$128 | Pick Up At Gymnastics
Flip, tumble and do the splits with Gymnastics camp! Campers will travel to the YMCA’s Gymnastics Center in Carlsbad for two and half hours of ability-specific instruction by expert YMCA gymnastic coaches every day. Campers will be placed into small groups according to age and skill level by gymnastic instructors to maximize their skill development. At the end of the week, campers will show off their new skills for family and friends!

A $20 late fee will be applied to all registrations the Thursday before the camp begins.
