SUMMER CAMP GUIDE 2012 TENNIS

You serve an ace when you sign up here! Campers travel to Bobby Riggs Tennis Center and are instructed for two hours a day by an experienced tennis instructor. Focusing on building solid skills through group instruction with reinforcement of the fundamentals. Instruction is designed for fi rst-time players through intermediate levels with an emphasis on sportsmanship and tennis etiquette. Campers should bring their own tennis racquet; loaners are available on a limited basis.


TWO WEEK ADVENTURE


2nd – 5th Grade | $405/$526 | Sessions 4*& 5, 8 & 9 | YMCA


Talk about one jam-packed and full of fun camp! This long-term camp is designed to build closer relationships between campers and staff throughout a two week journey while saving you money on a weekly basis! Campers will travel across San Diego County exploring all the best fi eld trips and inviting our campers to have the ultimate specialty experience. Participate in Rock Climbing, Bowling Ice Skating and much more.


TWO WEEK SPORTS


1st – 5th Grade | $330/$425 | Sessions 8 & 9 | YMCA


Want more sports? Come join the fun! This long term camp is designed to build closer relationships between campers and staff throughout a two week Multi-Sport camp. It saves you money and gives campers more of what they want. Play volleyball, baseball, basketball, fl ag football, soccer and so much more. They will have one traveling day a week.


VOLLEYBALL


3rd – 6th Grade | $175/$205 | Sessions 2, 6 | YMCA


The YMCA volleyball camp is designed to provide campers of all ability levels a rewarding and enjoyable experience. Our camp is designed to teach basic skills of volleyball to both beginners and those playing in middle school and club volleyball programs. This camp will be skill focused and will maintain a level of ‘fun’ for the campers. The goal of our camp is to teach the fundamentals of the game to fi t the camper’s needs.


WACKY WATER WEEK


1st – 4th Grade | $203/$243 | Sessions 4* - 10 | YMCA


What’s a better way to spend the summer than at a water park? Spend the week traveling to a different water park or water activity every day! Campers will travel to places like The Wave Water Park, Swamis beach and Knott’s Soak City. Campers will stay in groups with a counselor while visiting the water attractions to ensure their safety.


WILD WATER WEEK


5th – 8th Grade | $203/$243 | Sessions 4* – 10 | YMCA


Cool off and hang out with friends for a week fi lled with fun and water parks! This middle-school water camp takes campers to different water attractions every day to enjoy their summer break. Campers will travel to the YMCA Aquatic Center, Knott’s Soak City and Swamis beach. Campers and counselors will stay in groups while visiting the water attractions to ensure their safety.


YOU GO GIRL


5th – 8th Grade | $193/$231 Session 5 | Ada Harris


Be a better you! Join other girls for a week of empowering yourself by learning self-defense, nutrition, karate, yoga and basic principles of working out. Campers will make their own healthy meals and learn to read nutrition labels while developing simple exercise routines they can do at home. This camp will build self-respect, endurance and confi dence for all female campers!
