Athens, TN, Lodge donated 500 drug awareness coloring books, 500 drug awareness bookmarks, and several drug awareness pamphlets to Meigs North Elementary School to be distributed to students.


Morristown, TN, Lodge members staffed a drug awareness booth at the city’s annual Boofest Halloween event and distributed drug awareness bags filled with candy and drug awareness brochures, pamphlets, red ribbons, bookmarks, and coloring books to many of the 12,000 trick-or-treaters who attended.


Amarillo, TX, Lodge donated $500 to the Amarillo Independent School District’s drug awareness campaign. Funds for the donation were raised at the lodge’s Chili and Barbecue Cook- Off fund-raiser.


Huntsville, TX, Lodge members, along with Elroy the Elk, staffed a booth at the Scare on the Square Halloween event in downtown Huntsville and gave drug awareness coloring books and mini basketballs to about 45 trick- or-treaters who visited the booth.

Myrtle Creek, OR, Lodge held eight Friday night alcohol-free parties for teenagers and treated about 50 partygoers at each party to music, dancing, and treats.


East Stroudsburg, PA, Lodge mem- bers distributed 380 drug awareness bookmarks and brochures to third- grade students at Stroudsburg Intermediate Elementary School.


Kingsville, TX, Lodge members, along with Elroy the Elk, participated in the Kleberg County National Night Out safety event and distributed thou- sands of drug awareness pamphlets and coloring books to children and parents.


Norfolk, VA, Lodge members distrib- uted drug awareness coloring books and bookmarks to 220 third-grade students at three elementary schools as part of a dictionary distribution project.


Oak Harbor, WA, Lodge, along with Impaired Driving Impact of Island County, held an OkSOBERfest event, which more than 400 adults and teenagers attended. The event featured a root beer garden, live traditional German musical entertain- ment, mock field sobriety tests, food, prizes, and the opportunity to experi- ence the Fatal Vision goggles, which simulate the effects of intoxication. Lodge members also distributed more than 200 drug awareness brochures to event attendees. ■
